Payment options for bullion

When you buy bullion from Canada Gold (Canada Gold Québec) or any Canada Gold branch across the country, there are several ways to pay.

Please call us before making a payment for an online order to receive a unique order number and confirm your total.

1. Debit cards from Canadian banks or credit unions (not credit cards)

• Pay in store at time of purchase.
• Debit card limits are generally between $300 and $10,000. Please check with your bank if you require a higher limit for larger transactions.
• Get instant access to your ingots as soon as you pay.

2. Cash

All transactions are subject to the rules and regulations of our compliance regime under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA).

• For cash payments over $10,000A valid ID is required and the approval of a store manager may be necessary. A Supplement 1% applies to cash payments in excess of $10,000.
• Only modern polymer Canadian banknotes with a clear vertical stripe are accepted. Our staff can accept up to $1,000 older Canadian banknotes, at the manager's discretion.
• Your ingots can be recovered immediately. 

3. Bank draft

• Please call or visit your local Canada Gold office to confirm inventory and exact amounts before proceeding with payment.
• The draft should be made payable to "Canada Gold.
• Please ensure that the amounts are correct. We do not make change on bank drafts.
• We only accept bank drafts from Canadian banks and trust companies.
• Present the bank draft to the Canada Gold office on the day it is dated.
• Provide your ID and phone number at checkout.
• Your ingots can be picked up after a processing time of 5 to 10 working days.

4. Bank transfer

• Recommended for purchases over $25,000.
• Please call or visit your local Canada Gold office to receive an invoice number, confirm inventory and exact amounts before proceeding with payment. Include your full name and telephone number at this time.

• Once payment has been confirmed (usually 1-4 business days), your ingots will be delivered immediately. Please note that processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
