We test each item with precise tools, explain the procedure and present you with the results before making an offer. Whether you're selling a single piece or an entire collection, we want you to feel confident every step of the way. Your trusted silver buyer in Quebec City
Our Quebec City branch buys ingots, bars, coins and sterling silver items. We receive a wide variety of items, from bullion to family silver handed down from generation to generation. Every customer receives a free estimate and is never pressured to sell. Our aim remains the same: to offer you clear information, fair prices and a pleasant experience.
We offer the best prices for recognized silver bullion, such as Maple Leaf coins, Royal Canadian Mint bullion, U.S. Silver Eagles, Johnson Matthey bullion, Engelhard coins and bullion from major Canadian banks. These products are widely traded and retain a high resale value, enabling us to buy them at a premium. We also buy unrecognized ingots, including Sunshine Mint coins, Scottsdale Silver coins, A Mark ingots, NTR Metals products and ingots or coins that may be worn or engraved.
Sell your silver coins with confidence
Many antique Canadian and U.S. coins contain real silver and may be worth more than you think. We buy Canadian 25-cent, 10-cent and 50-cent coins minted before 1968, silver dollars, silver Maple Leaf coins, RCMP centennial coins, Royal Canadian Mint commemorative coins and Olympic coins. We also buy U.S. 25-cent and 10-cent coins minted before 1964, and 50-cent coins minted before 1970. If you're not sure whether certain coins contain silver, bring them to us and we'll sort and test them with you. For coins that may have numismatic value due to their rarity or condition, we can help you identify them and put you in touch with a trusted Canadian coin buyer.
Sale of silverware and cutlery in solid silver
Quebec City residents frequently bring us silverware, such as tea sets, serving dishes and flatware. While many buyers shy away from silver because of the complexity of testing, Canada Gold has the technology and experience to accurately evaluate these items. Using density tests and X-ray fluorescence, we verify metal content right before your eyes. Solid silver contains 92.5 % of silver, while pure silver contains 99.9 %. Both types can be valuable, even if the pieces are worn, dented or mismatched.
We do not buy silver-plated items, as the amount of silver that can be recovered is minimal. Hallmarks such as Community, EP, EPNS, EPC, EPB, the word "plated" or marks referring to Rogers usually indicate silver plating. If you're not sure whether your coins are solid silver, visit our store for a free evaluation.
A safe and fair place to sell your money
Canada Gold is proud to serve the Quebec City community with a transparent, fair and respectful process. Our mission is to offer individuals a secure way to convert their silver bullion, coins and sterling silver objects into cash with peace of mind. We look forward to helping you understand the value of your money, and to providing you with a positive experience from start to finish.
